WHY CARE ABOUT AIR TESTING?
Compressed air is a common energy source in many facilities around the world. In other areas it provides air that we breathe due to unsafe ambient air and the potential for physical harm. In fact, compressed air is commonly referred to as the 4th utility, behind electricity, water and gas.
Being that compressed air is so prevalent, it makes sense to be concerned about compressed air quality. Even in industries where downstream processes are not sensitive, air quality can give us indications of our environment and mechanical system health.
The questions in most instances are:
What contaminants am I concerned with?
How do these contaminants get into my system?
How are these contaminants measured and evaluated?
How do I minimize these contaminants in my system?
